My name is Susan Garriques. I'm an artist that right now is having a great time painting animal portraits with oils.

The little guy over on the left is entered into the Helping Paws Online Exhibition at the Canine Art Guild. Exhibit visitors voted for their favorite painting in the exhibition and this painting took 4th place. A big "thank you" to everyone that voted for "Afternoon Nap".

The People's Choice Awards go directly to the animal shelter of the artist's choice. "Afternoon Nap" won a $50 award that will go to the Yancey County Humane Society in Burnsville, NC.

Also, 50% of any of my sales from the exhibition have been pledged to the humane society. I'm pleased to say that "Afternoon Nap" has been sold. Thank you!
